Long-Term Running Goals: Keep on Running and staying fit always. Our bodies were made to MOVE!!!! Personal: I've always been more a dancer than a Runner, but i've ALWAYS been into working out and staying active. I ran the 1 mile in track in Highschool ( i think my fastes mile was right around 7 mins.) but never in my life have I ran longer than one mile until 2009. I am a Zumba instructor and I run in the Spring/Summer. I love running but I do not enjoy running on the TM or outside in the cold, so I guess you could say I'm a Fair weather runner.

Almost 4 with Merri today, I think that was in 30 mins cuz i think i heard her Garmin ring for the 1/2 hr. mark as she was running away - it was Warm out today - I;m more sweaty than usual!
I'm not teaching at the studio today because they are having try-outs for the dance teams, so I get the morning off. I think we're going to pull out the kiddie pool and the slip-n-slide, Come on over if you want!

Merri, Lily and I did the Speedy Spaniard course today - Our avg pace was 7:31. Pretty dang good! - seems like the speed is starting to come more for me now, I'm not going to lie though - today was hard! I felt like I was going to throw up right around 5 and 1/2. (I shoudn't have ate that Big Ol' Bratwurst at the BBQ last night.) And my foot was hurting a little bit and when I took off my shoe, there was blood all over my sock, I think it was coming from my toes. I need some good running shoes I think!
P.M.- I'll be teaching Zumba 8-9 tonight - you all should come!!!!! You know you want to.

I slept in til 8:30 today - felt so good! Then I decided to go to the Gym around 9:30 ( I love it when Moses is off work!) I caught the end of a Zumba class and then I lifted and did some crunches/reverse crunches.
I'm excited for the Race tomorrow, its only my 2nd race - so I'm a little nervous too. My first 5K i ran in 26 mins with no training - so I'm hoping to do this one in 24 mins ( 8 min avg. pace).
We are having a BBQ tomorrow night at 7:00 PM and then Fireworks after. Lily, Merri, Tynelle - you should come on over. Just bring your own meat and side to share if you are coming - everything else will be provided. Everyone is Welcome!!!!! I ♥♥♥ The 4Th of July!!! | Comments(3) |

Yay! I did the 5K Freedom Run this morning in 22:36. Avg. Pace was 7:17.
I feel good about that!!!! It felt very good!!! I can't wait to hear how all the neighbors did! I really wish I would have seen you guys there, I saw Kyle Quist and that was all.

Mon- 6:30 AM - 4 miles
Tues- 7 AM- Weights/Srength, Teach Zumba 8-9 PM
Weds- 6:30 AM - 4 miles, 10:30 AM - teach Zumba, hopefully swim today too!
Thurs- 7 AM - Weights/Strength, Teach 8-9PM
Fri- 6:30 AM - 3 miles
Sat- 6 mile run -( not sure what time) Merri/Lily what are you doing Sat. Morning?... and then maybe Zumba 9:30 AM , we'll see how I feel after the run.

Slept in this morning - no gym for me! Oh well! We stayed up until 1 AM watching "Tristan and Isolde". Great, great movie!
I did some strength exercises here at home. I'll be teaching Zumba tonight 8-9 PM.

Speedy Spaniard route with Lily and Merri this morning. Avg pace was 7:58. We ran the route and then ran the extra mile home. I was very tired this morn when that alarm went off at 4:45 AM (didn't go to bed until 12 last night). But alas I did get up and I'm so glad I did, I actually felt really good on this run this morning - it wasn't as hard as the last time we ran it - progress!!! Sweet, Sweet progress!!!
Things I learned this morning : Merri has super spidey senses, she can hear a car a mile away and see things that the average human cannot see. And Lily is a direct descendant of the king of Scotland - I'm running with a super hero and a member of the royal family -- Doesn't get any better than that my friends. | Comments(8) |

I went to Zumba this morning at the Gym - so fun! I also ran a mile after that because I was supposed to do 16 miles this week and I'd only done 15 so I just couldn't stand it - so there ya go now I can say I reached my miles for the week. I lifted upper body too and did some reverse crunches. When I got home and told Moses what I had done - he said "thats all!", ha ha Mr. Funny guy.

| | No running for me this morning (in the literal sense... it feels like I've been running all day!) I turned off my alarm and went back to bed - I suck! Taught Zumba 10:30-11:30, followed by the pool all day with the kids - fun but exhausting! I'm so ready for bed right now. Won't be able to run or go to the gym in the morning tomorrow either because Moses has to leave for work extra early.... its Scottie's B-day so he has to get off early for the party. Ran to the gym with Melody and did a Zumba class and then ran home.(Total 5 miles) Have no idea what our pace was.
PM - 8 miles with Merri in about 64 mins i think. We went at 8 tonight and the bugs were out something fierce! Merri was nearly blinded by a happy little bug and I'm positive I swallowed a few. Not to mention the dog that nearly took a chunk out of Merri's calf. We braved bugs, dogs, cars, heat and really stinky smells coming from a barn - i think we deserve some sort of medal for this run!
PS- this is a Personal best for me I have never done this many miles in one day and 8 miles is the longest run I've run thus far. Good day! | Comments(4) |

My goal was 46 mins, so I am very pleased with my time today! It felt great! I love running! All my peeps did so good to! CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!!!! I ran to the gym and did an awesome Zumba class - Alison teaches at Golds on Sat. morning and her class is always good! And then I ran home from the gym.

We are leaving Thurs. morning to go camping at Duck Creek for the weekend, we're coming back Sunday (Sorry Merri I won't be there to help with the Nursery kiddos). I'm going to try and run while we're up there - I'm hoping I can get in 4-6 miles. (We'll see!) I didn't run this morning and now I hate myself.. aahhhh! I didn't get Mary's message until this morning that she wanted to run in the morning and when my alarm went off all I could think was I don't want to run all by myself.... I thought Merri was on her way to Tae Bo , little did I know she was outside waiting to run with me. I'm so frustrated with myself. I'm so SORRY Merri.

Got in a run this morning at Duck Creek ( I was running on an ATV trail most of the way) - it was so beautiful up there. The roads were uneven and there was a lot of hills so I got my workout. I would have run further but I came upon this cabin where there was a ferocious looking dog ahead and I turned right around. | Add Comment |
