Personal:

I've always been more a dancer than a Runner, but i've ALWAYS been into working out and staying active. I ran the 1 mile in track in Highschool ( i think my fastes mile was right around 7 mins.) but never in my life have I ran longer than one mile until 2009. I am a Zumba instructor and I run in the Spring/Summer. I love running but I do not enjoy running on the TM or outside in the cold, so I guess you could say I'm a Fair weather runner.

I am Happily Married to my hottie husband Moses and have 5 cutie kiddos - Moses Jr. (15), Andre (11), Dallas (10), Rhoman (7) and Scotlyn (3) -

3 miles this beautiful morning on the TM. When I started up the car - Guess what was playing? Christmas music - Yay! I'm so excited for Christmas time!!!

(I realized that I didn't make this entry in color, and I tried to change it and it won't let me now, Dang! Boring Black & white today!)

AM - Hit up the gym and did some weights and a core workout -  did some of the exercises "A" showed me. Good stuff!

Went to Gardner Village with my mom, grandma and sisters today -- WAY FUN! and then taught Zumbaliciouness 8-9 PM.

Nada today! I was going to run this morning but Rhoman had a dentist appt at 8 AM so I had to stay home and get ready for that so we could make it on time. Dang Dentist appts messin' with my workouts - I made sure and told the dentist I wasn't very happy about it ☺.

Excuse #46 -- I didn't get up to run this morning because I stayed up too late watching a movie.... I had a dentist appt at 8:00 also (no cavities!!!) Then I went to the gym at 9:00 and did  a zumba-turbo class. It was good!

I really hope i can run tomorrow morning but I have a client at 8:00 AM and I'm not sure I'll be able to fit in a run and then getting ready for my client all before 8. We'll see how it goes.

On another note - I'm trying to kick my pepsi habit - no pepsi this morning. I'm trying out another energy alterantive - wish me luck! I've tried quitting before and had no energy and got major headaches - hopefully this time will be different.

** PM update -- This drink that I'm trying has 60 mg of caffeine per 8.4 oz. The 12 oz pepsi I have had every morning for the last 10 years has about 28 mg.  And if the caffeine in the Monavie is natural - is the caffeine in the pepsi unnatural? I just upped the caffeine by drinking this. Is one caffeine better than the other?  I thought that the natural energy from the monavie was from fruit/herbs and stuff like that. I definetly want to kick the soda habit for obvious reasons, but whats the harm in daily caffeine intake - seriously! All of you health-conscious runners on this blog - weigh in - I want to know how many of you rely on caffeine for energy. Is caffeine bad for you? I've read some reports that say caffeine may actually be good for women. I'm so confused -- what do you all think?

Hit up Golds this beautiful morning and did weights and a core workout. I love the time change, its been so much easier for me to go to bed and get up early.

I am loving this new energy drink too - its been great! I can't believe the amount of energy I had yesterday and so far today, I've gotten so much done.  And i slept great last night, but I didn't have trouble getting up - which is usually a problem for me.  ☺☻☺☻☺

I went to the Gym tonight because I didn't make it this morning. I did a Zumba class and then ran 2 miles next to Melody. It was good to talk with her - she was still pretty sore from her 1/2 on Saturday.

This morning I took my grandpa to physical therapy. He had open heart surgery 3 weeks ago. He's 74 years old and a former runner. He used to run from his home in Springville to the Provo Cemetery (about 10 miles and over Ironton hill) almost every morning. He was a sprinter in Highschool and then ran 4 marathons. He loved running and would still be doing it to this day I'm sure if he hadn't had to have his knee replaced. He pretty much stopped after that. It was fun talking to him about running - and it made me very grateful to be young and healthy and able to run. I could tell the sadness in his voice when he talked about his knee surgery and how the doctor said he could only jog after that and if he did more than that he would be right back in for the same surgery.What a great guy - I love my Grandpa.

And while I was sitting waiting for him to finish his therapy there was a copy of "Runners World" . So I read it cover to cover. I guess you could say my morning was filled with running without me actually physically running.

BTW- I just finished off the box of chocolate orange sticks in the pantry so that I wouldn't be tempted by them any more -

Ran next to my girl Merri this morning. If she wouldn't have been there I would have only ran 2 or 3 at the most. So thank goodness she was there.

Its Dallas' 9th B-day today. Party fun planned for tonight!

Lifted weights this morning at the gym and a core workout.

Went to Tifinis Zumba class 10:30-11:30 AM.

PM--  Taught Zumba 8-9 PM. There were so many people there! It was crazy! Very very fun - such an adrenaline rush! I love teaching when there is a lot of people - i just feed off of all the energy.
