Personal:

I've always been more a dancer than a Runner, but i've ALWAYS been into working out and staying active. I ran the 1 mile in track in Highschool ( i think my fastes mile was right around 7 mins.) but never in my life have I ran longer than one mile until 2009. I am a Zumba instructor and I run in the Spring/Summer. I love running but I do not enjoy running on the TM or outside in the cold, so I guess you could say I'm a Fair weather runner.

I am Happily Married to my hottie husband Moses and have 5 cutie kiddos - Moses Jr. (15), Andre (11), Dallas (10), Rhoman (7) and Scotlyn (3) -

Taught Zumba at 10:35 this morning at Golds Gym in Orem- 8th North Gym - Soooo Fun!

Then taught another Zumba class at 8:00 PM.

No Workout today! OOPS! This cold weather sucks for running! I'm a wussy who dosen't want to run in the cold! OoooOoooo I like this color scheme... Looks sort of Halloweenie! Burt will like that I'm being festive.

Going with the Halloween colors today!!! Fall is in the air!!!

So... if this was a Zumba blog I would have all sorts of crazy miles but it is not --- hmmmm~

I did a Zumba class this morning 9:30 AM at Golds - love Ali! (the girl who taught today), Followed by a Shaved Ice - it was the last day they were open for the season, and can you imagine our good fortune - It was Free! They were giving away free sno-cones peoples! Holy Awesomeness Batman! That made my day! Hand me a Free Coconut/Melona shaved ice and I am one happy woman! Boom Boom Pow! I am a tad bit hyper right now ... and probably using one too many exclamation points!!!!! Oh well... I'm back and I'm blogging - and I will be a much better runner next week - hopefully :)

3 Miles in 24 mins.-- It was on the "dreadmill" but at least i ran. I woke up late,   I still went in and got a few miles though.

No sign of Miss Merri this morning - I admired her Halloween decor for a few mins and then I took off. I ran for 20 mins- so I'm calling it 2 miles, it was probably more like 2 1/2 but we'll say 2 to be safe. It was 33 degrees this morning - not to bad - I had gloves, pants, jacket, and a beanie on so the only really cold thing was my face. I wanted to run longer but running alone makes me nervous - especially in the dark.

I L♥ve my new shoes! what a difference a good pair of shoes make! I think my toenails are safe now.

Well - my next workout today will be teaching Zumba tonight at Central Utah Dance Academy in Moroni. I'm looking forward to that.

I'm Teaching Zumba Tues - Sat. this week. Running is taking the back-burner for now. BUT I will get back to it! Especially when we start training for the marathon.

I'm taking Tiffini's class at 10:30 AM this morning at Golds and i'm teaching one of my songs in her class. Should be fun! and then I'll be teaching tonight at Heart-n-soul as always.

I went to teach Zumba in Provo at a Health Fair, but when I got there they said nobody was participating and they didn't need me after all - so I headed over to the mall.

NADA!!! I'm not feeling so hot this week - very tired, sore throat, all the kids have taken turns being sick this week and I think its all catching up with me. I've got to be better next week.  UGH UGH UGH (stomping my feet and hitting my fists on the desk) :-)

I ran this morning - woo hoo! 3 miles. Got the treadmill next to Julie Hall and chatted with her for a little bit. Good times at Good ol' Golds.  I also did a small ab workout after running.

Went to Tiffini's Turbo kick/ Zumba class at 9:00 am this morning. Moses had the day off so I slept in and went to the gym later. I ♥ sleeping in.

I lifted and then ran for 2 miles. Been going to the gym later - around 7:00 since Moses isn't playing B-ball lately I can sleep in a little more. I'll be teaching 2 Zumba classes tomorrow - one at Golds at 10:30 AM and then one at Heart-N-Soul at 8-9 PM.

I wanted to run this morning but Moses went to play B-ball and took up all the time... so hopefully I can go later... dunno, its always hard to get out of the house later to run... we'll see how the day goes.

Well here's the dealy-o. I renewed my membership with Golds last week and the guy said I had a free training session with a personal trainer. I thought "why not", I could use a few new weight training exercises, so I made the appointment.

This morning I met with, lets just call her "A" to protect her identity, So "A" tells me to go hit the treadmill for a quick warm-up, so I do and after a mile and a 1/2 (and some great conversation with my girls Lily and Merri) "A" still hasn't come to get me yet. So I hop off the treadmill to go get her. Once I find her she now informs me that there won't be enought time to do a workout today and we'll just do the consultation. I'm slightly annoyed - but whatever - I still go along with it. We start to talk , she's punching in my info to the computer, and then she say's "so I heard you do tri-athlons". What! I just met this girl - I've never met this chick until 10 mins ago and I've never done a triathalon, huh, I'm confused.

Well all my info is in the computer and according to "A"'s information I am actually 34 years of age not 31. Hmmmmm I work out about 5 times a week, lift weights, do cardio, try to eat healthy, which makes me older than I really am? Interesting!  Actually I feel more like 24 then 34. But "A" tells me that after workouts with her I would feel like I was 27 again.Well alllrighty then!

Then she tells me my body fat is 20% which is healthy but not athletic. She continues to tell me that her body fat it about 13% and that I could get down to that too. I'm thinking - "A" How old are you, 18 probably, you've never gone through a pregnancy, birthed any children and you are not currently taking care of children either, no wonder YOUR body fat is at 13%. But don't worry I did not say that out loud. Then "A" asks me if I'm interested in having a personal trainer and I honestly tell her that I'm not going to pay for a personal trainer I was just there for the free advice. She tells me "oh thats fine" but I can tell she is now annoyed.

My point - I left feeling worse than when I went in and I didn't even get any new exercises - which is what I really wanted. I am meeting with her again in the morning for the workout which we didn't get in today - so- We'll see how that goes. We'll see what cutesie little "A" with 13% body fat can do with 34 yr old me!

I was kind of getting on "A"s case yesterday, but today I went in and met with her and did a core workout and I was quite impressed - she taught me some really good stuff and I know I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow. Thank you "A". Very much worth the free training session today! and then looky there I got in some miles too. Not much, but its something! Looking forward to a Zumba Halloween Party tomorrow at Good Ol' Golds.
