Personal:

I've always been more a dancer than a Runner, but i've ALWAYS been into working out and staying active. I ran the 1 mile in track in Highschool ( i think my fastes mile was right around 7 mins.) but never in my life have I ran longer than one mile until 2009. I am a Zumba instructor and I run in the Spring/Summer. I love running but I do not enjoy running on the TM or outside in the cold, so I guess you could say I'm a Fair weather runner.

I am Happily Married to my hottie husband Moses and have 5 cutie kiddos - Moses Jr. (15), Andre (11), Dallas (10), Rhoman (7) and Scotlyn (3) -

I'm getting so excited and a little nervous for the Hobble Creek 1/2 this Saturday! My first 1/2 Marathon - I hope I can make it!

My goal - 8 min pace. So that would put me coming in about 1 hour 45 mins. Sounds good to me! Thats what I'm shooting for.

Lyns I am confidant you will do it in that time or less. I figure that last night we ran the 8 miles in 1:07 minutes. You can do this! :)

Thanks Lily - hopefully my knee will hold up - I don't know what I did, I'm really frustrated!

Lyns, you're a speed demon, you'll do awesome. I'm nervous too! I'm shooting for around a 9 min pace but the first 7 miles are down hill-ish, so I'm just going to go as fast as I can without overdoing it on those and then try to keep 9 minutes for the last 6 miles.

Sounds like a good plan Leandra.

I don't have a Garmin so I'm going to have no idea how fast (or how slow) i'm going. Not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing!

It's probably a good thing! sometimes I'll look down at my garmin and tell myself i'm going to fast and slow down when really I could probably keep up that faster pace.
