Personal:

I've always been more a dancer than a Runner, but i've ALWAYS been into working out and staying active. I ran the 1 mile in track in Highschool ( i think my fastes mile was right around 7 mins.) but never in my life have I ran longer than one mile until 2009. I am a Zumba instructor and I run in the Spring/Summer. I love running but I do not enjoy running on the TM or outside in the cold, so I guess you could say I'm a Fair weather runner.

I am Happily Married to my hottie husband Moses and have 5 cutie kiddos - Moses Jr. (15), Andre (11), Dallas (10), Rhoman (7) and Scotlyn (3) -

I did half a Zumba class then lifted and then did the eliptical for 25 mins, it was almost 3 miles. Now I'm headed out for dinner and a movie with some girlfriends.

You didn't enter the three miles in.

they were "imaginary" miles :)

Can I count eliptical miles on the running blog? I thought it had to be running miles. And what about Zumba miles? I would be topping the leader board every week if there were sucha thing!

Merri's right they were imaginary (you're ratting me out Merri!! ;) - I don't really do all this stuff, Really i weigh 400 pounds and lay on the couch all day watching TV and playing video games.

I've never ran on an elliptical before. Does it actually measure the distance you run? I wonder how that works. Well, what some people do is they consider the effort they put in. For example, if they spent an hour riding a bike, and it only got their heart rate up to like 130 or something, they would compare that to running a 10 minute mile for that long, so they might put in 6 miles for running instead of the 15 miles they actually cycled. Does that make sense?

Yeah it tracks your miles but its not really like running its more like biking I thing b/c your pushing downward to turn the "thingies". Its like biking standing up and balancing. That makes perfect sense right???

I always count my miles if it's running, biking or eliptical. :) I heard once that riding a bike for 3 miles is equal to one running mile. not sure on the conversion for the eliptical or zumba. I bet 6 minutes of zumba equals 10 miles running or something. :)

but it all probably depends on the resistance and how hard you're working I guess. :)
