Long-Term Running Goals: Keep on Running and staying fit always. Our bodies were made to MOVE!!!! Personal: I've always been more a dancer than a Runner, but i've ALWAYS been into working out and staying active. I ran the 1 mile in track in Highschool ( i think my fastes mile was right around 7 mins.) but never in my life have I ran longer than one mile until 2009. I am a Zumba instructor and I run in the Spring/Summer. I love running but I do not enjoy running on the TM or outside in the cold, so I guess you could say I'm a Fair weather runner.

Turned off my alarm this morning... I was soooo tired. I ended up doing some strengthening exercises here at home and an ab workout. Tonight I'll be teaching Zumba 8-9 PM. Now its time for a beautful Summer day with the kiddies! I'm hoping I'll be able to fit in a run tomorrow. | Add Comment |

Didn't go running today. I was supposed to teach a kids Zumba class at 10:30 this morning, but ended up at the Doctors office and then the ER with Scotlyn. She has Cellulitus in her knee and they hope thats all it is and it can be knocked out with antibiotics. Poor baby - Her left knee is so swollen and red :(

I was at Zumba until 10 PM last night, and then when I tried to got to sleep I couldn't because I was so pumped with Adrenaline.... I was up til about 1:30 AM.... but I still got up and went running at 5 AM.... pretty proud of myself!! | Comments(3) |

Last week I felt like Superwoman..... Today.... uh.... Not so much! We were going to do 8 today, but then this morning came and I felt so tired, weak and sore. We ended up doing 4 miles at an 8:09 avg. pace. I have had an extra stressful week and with very little sleep - so I guess thats all catching up with me today.
Next week I'll be better prepared to do more miles hopefully.

I was getting on myself for not running 8 miles on Saturday.. But then I looked at the training schedule that I'm on (to get ready for the 1/2)... and... I'm ahead for where I shoud be right now... so then I felt better. I'm going to stay on that training schedule now, so I don't injure or overwhelm myself.
Here's my plans for the week ahead for my workouts:
Monday-- Run 5 AM - 4 miles
Tuesday-- Gym 7 AM - Weights & Abs, PM- Teach Zumba 8-9
Wednesday-- Run 7 AM - 4 miles, Teach Zumba 10:30 AM
Thursday-- Gym 6 AM - Weights & Abs, PM- Zumba 6-7:30 in SLC w/ Beto!!!
Friday-- Run 5 AM- 7 miles
Saturday-- 8 AM - Teaching Zumba @ Throwdown w/ Michael Banks
Sunday-- Day of rest (of course) ... if you can really call it that... sometimes I feel like I've ran a marathon, after church with my kids ;) | Comments(1) |

Went to the Gym this morning and lifted and then ran for 1 and a half mile(8 min. pace). I wanted to run more but Moses needed me home by 7... so .... oh well!!! And then...some "lost soul" wandering around the gym approached me and asked me for a ride home ;)
didn't run yesterday - I suck - just couldn't fit it in!
Tonight I'm going to SLC for a Zumba class with Beto Perez (the creator of Zumba). I'm beyond EXCITED!!!!!! It will be an hour and a half of Awesome Cardio. Can't wait to DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!!!!! | Comments(5) |

Boy did it feel good sleeping in this morning until 8:00!! Its been a very active week and my body is feeling it - but i love it!

Tuesday-- Gym 7:00 AM - Weights/Abs, 10:30 AM- Zumba at Golds, 8-9 PM- Teach
Wednesday-- Run 7:00 AM - 5 miles, 10:30 AM - Teach - Zumba kids
Thursday-- Gym AM - Weights/Abs, 8-9 PM Teach Zumba
Friday-- Run 5:00 AM - 8 miles
Saturday-- 9:30 AM Zumba Party @ Golds!
Sunday-- REST!!!

Ran with Merri 3.6 miles. I think it was like a 8:14 avg pace.
Merri was talking about lions and tigers and bears.... oh my!

Merri and I ran 5 miles this morning at an 8 min avg. pace. She was wearing her running shorts and the construction workers just about went CRAZY! (woo-woo)- thats a cyber whistle.
I'm teaching Kids Zumba at the Studio at 10:30.
We are going swimming after that at the Scera Pool in Orem - I'm going to wear my full-on bodysuit - gotta stay covered! Whats up with those girls rockin' the bikinis or tankinis! (this paragraph is written with loads of sarcasm- Loads!)

7 miles with Lily and 1/2 of it with Merri. I think Merri was having visions of Amish Bread and couldn't wait to get home. I wish I could have run more, Lily and I were in the middle of a great conversation.
I felt like I could have run longer and Faster... good day for me. I had pasta last night for dinner - maybe that really did help. Well not just pasta.... pasta and then some choc. chip cookies.... and then a few choc. cinnamon bears.... yeah I'm pretty sure the chocolate covered cinnamon bears are what helped me out today! | Comments(5) |

We also went bowling for my nephews B-day today - I am an incredibly SUCKY Bowler!

So Merri/Lily I totally understand if this schedule dosen't work for you guys, it makes me sad that I'm prob. going to be on the TM instead of running outside with you guys - but you gotta do what you gotta do. I think weds. might still work out for you and I Merri ?
